This week’s meditation chant:
As the earth awakens from her slumber, so too does the energy within me. I embrace the renewal and vitality of spring, allowing its awakening to inspire and invigorate my spirit. I absorb the life-stirring vibrations of the universe surrounding me.
This week’s prayer:
To the source of all creation, I offer gratitude for the awakening song of spring. May this season infuse my spirit with healing, life, and inspiration, guiding me towards growth and transformation.
End-of-Week Journal Prompt:
Instructions:
Find a quiet place (as much as you’re able) and a time when you’re not overly tired. If you’re able to include aromatherapy, do so: warm, inviting scents in whatever form is the most soothing for you. Be comfortable. Dress for the temperature and keep hydration nearby. Sit at ease. Then, open your journal and take up your “quill”:
How did I experience the energy of this season this week (renewal and awakening)? What signs of spring did I notice around me? How did those signs inspire me?
I’m a “project person.” Since childhood, I’ve been the type to lock myself away in my room, or whisk myself off to a tree fort and immerse myself in a project. For many decades, those projects were tabletop RPGs, writing fiction, and drawing. As I aged, I realized that I simply was the type of person to engage in creation on a constant basis. Now, I find that seasonality allows me to build in rest for myself when I so frequently allow myself to overwork. I try to time my projects to launch (after much planning over winter) the week of spring equinox.
